I'm just wondering, does "HTC" stand for something? :P
ReplyDeleteHTC stands for "High Tech Computer Corporation". Thanks for bringing that up.
DeleteThanks for letting me know, Priya. :)
DeleteThis phone sounds like a major competitor to Apple and Samsung, but how will it change the way they do business? Will Apple and Samsung have to do anything different due to the HTC one?
ReplyDeleteAs well, how might the HTC one effect you? Society?
Although both Apple and Samsung are two of the most reputable names in the smartphone market, I personally feel that they should consider adopting some of HTC's effective marketing/ advertising strategies, one of which is appealing to the insecurities of consumers. Although most won't admit to it, slogans like HTC's "Everything your phone isn't" coax's many into buying an HTC phone since in the wold we live in today, one always wants what they don't have, be it tech devices, clothes, furniture, etc. In the case of HTC, people may fall into the witty trap of believing that their own phones are not good enough. However, an everlasting insecurity of smartphone consumers means increasing revenue for smartphone companies and this is precisely why companies like Apple and Samsung should use such propaganda's. As for the impact on society by the HTC one, its not much different from the impact of any new, much crazed about smartphone in the market as it is a another step for mankind in the tech world (with HTC one being the first smartphone to incorporate front facing headphones) yet another excuse for people especially in the teen demographic to avoid another human encounter. Whether or not this would be a grave consequence depends on the reality of the human/digital one world concept.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned how this phone uses ultra-pixel technology, meaning it only has 4 mega pixels while other flagship models from other companies have 8 or higher. Does the camera perform better than its competitors or is the more "traditional" way better. Also, do you think we'll be seeing more of this technology in the future?
